Anwendungsbeispiele

Freerider Zumbi E-44

ultimative Spassmaschine für Up- and Downhill.

The Cycle Booster

functioning

Optional Boosty Pedelec System. The Boosty Drive is electrically coupled directly with the Boosty Pedelec Sensor integrated into the Chainset/Bottom Bracket assembly. The Pedelec system variably controls the  motor power output depending on your cadence speed (your pedaling speed). In Pedelec mode the power is  progressively reduced until a road speed of 25kmh is reached, giving you the option to apply the twist-throttle overriding the Pedelec system  thus using  the full power of the Boosty motor.

The Boosty Drive unit uses a straight cut gearbox with a reduction ratio of 7 : 1 to drive the Crankset/Chainset. This is an important advantage as it allows the use of the bicycle gearing system to transfer drive assistance directly to the wheel. For example, when utilizing the lowest gear a high torque is applied directly to the wheel (Over 200N/m) and the gears can be then used throughout the range until your desired speed is reached. This is a distinct advantage over a hub motor drive unit. The hub drive is a single ratio unit optimized for general purpose use. During long climbs these systems use enormous amounts of power due to the slow motor speeds, they use high amps, create lots of heat and have less than satisfactory conditions for the battery. Not ideal.

Straight cut gears have a higher efficiency. Disadvantage: they are more audible. Comparable to the car gear: forward gears are helical cut and barely audible, the reverse gear is straight teeth and heard. Also motorcycles and racing gears are straight teeth.
Now we have also developed a helical gear, extremely quiet gear. Experiments with different helical gears have shown that the efficiency is slightly worse and consume little more capacity, but much quieter.

The crankset has a one way clutch system which allows chainwheels to freewheel whilst being driven,  allowing drive assistance whilst not pedaling.

Another advantage is the design of the gear motor with eccentric drive shaft leaking. May be strained, without having to move the motor mount by turning the motor in the motor mount the drive chain.

Drive Unit: 36Volt 250-400 Watt (Standard)

Batteries: LiFePo4 36V 10Ah (Standard)

Range (Distance): 10-100 Km, depending on battery size and power.

Range (Power): ca. 0,7-3Std., depending on size and paower. Record 2200 meter operating elevation.

Operation: continuous acceleration with throttle(up to 400W) or PAS sensor (Pedelec to 250W).

Specialls:
Battery is normally carried in a backpack, frame bag, or basket.
Electric drive designed specifically for full suspension bikes
Mounting even in city bikes, ladies bikes, recumbent bikes, karting etc. possible
The drive is designed and manufactured in Switzerland.
Because the gear of the bike is used, you will reach a very high torque and efficiency - not to be compared with the usual electric bicycles.
